World Senior Citizen’s Day is an opportunity to recognize and acknowledge the contributions of older folks while also increasing awareness of issues like health deterioration and elder abuse that may affect them. We have a wonderful local resource, the Senior Citizens Hospitality Center, whose mission is, “To provide opportunity for social, recreational, educational, and other activities beneficial to members and the community. All persons 55 and older are welcome but we don’t card anyone. Public is also welcome to participant in our events.”

Representatives from the Center will be sharing with us as part of our celebration of this observance.
